Riley B. King, “King of the Blues” & legendary guitarist known as B.B. King, died Thursday evening May 14th, (2015). B.B. King was not only just a Legend, he was a historic figure with 30 Grammy Nominations who owned Beale Street and whose voice & expressive style brought blues from the margins to the mainstream.
King, 89 years old, died in Las Vegas, where he announced two weeks ago that he was in home hospice care after suffering from dehydration. King survived by his daughter Patty King, and of course his beloved guitar Lucille.
